Darlene Rice has been a member of the Greater Hartford Jaycees since 2001. She joined the Jaycees to meet new people and have new experiences. Darlene has been a member of the Board of Directors for four years. Two years as a Director at Large and two years as Membership VP.

Darlene has won many awards in the Jaycees including the Jaycee of the year award in 2006 and board member of the year for 2007. She is a Statesman, number 1102, Board member of the month April 2006, membership team player of the fourth quarter 2006; Individual development team player 2005, project of the month Holiday Social 2004, CPG sweeps Winter Social 2004.

Darlene is a certified early childhood teacher and a floral designer. She has a Master's degree from Eastern Connecticut State University in Early Childhood Education. She resides in Glastonbury.
