Kimberly Nordquist joined the Greater Hartford Jaycees in May 2004. Kimberly chaired two projects in 2004-Kidcare ID and Festival of Trees. She jumped right in and joined various committees and attended various chapter projects and state events. Kimberly received the Brownfield award from the chapter in 2004.

In 2005, Kimberly stepped up to be on the Board of Directors as a Director at Large. In 2006 she served as the Individual Development Vice President and in 2007 served as the Management Development Vice President and was also the acting State Director.  In her role as acting State Director for 2007, she was instrumental the chapter having 18 assists and visitations to the other chapter’s projects in the state.

Over the past several years she has received various awards from the chapter and state as well including four Board Member of the Month, Vice President of the Year for 2006 and 2007, several quarterly team player awards and two Award of Appreciations. She received the Statesman Award in May 2007.

In 2005, Kimberly competed in the statewide Speak Up competition and she went onto represent the state at the Year End convention in Myrtle Beach.

Over the years she has busy with various aspects of the chapter and state. Chapter involvement included her work with HOBY as director of facilitators for 2006 and 2007.  Kimberly was also the Player Relations Assistant Chairperson for the 2006 Buick Championship. She was on the Player Relations Committee this time as the Airport Coordinator for the 2007 Travelers Championship. In 2007 she also ran several projects for the chapter, including Relay for Life, Robert’s Rules and Turkish International Dinner.

Kim is an active participant at the state level as well. She was the Jaycee Challenger for 2006 and came in second at the National level at TOYA. Her efforts in achieving the state goal of brining the JAYS program to 6,000 plus children in the state resulted in her receiving a Mid Year & Year End Outstanding Performer Award from Nationals and she received a Presidential Club award and a year end Presidential Award of Excellence. In 2007 Kimberly served as the State Secretary.
